{ happy easter }

This picture was taken 3 years ago at the cemetery with my cute grandpa. I'm so grateful that Jesus Christ broke the bands of death, so that we can be with our families forever.

Here are a few of my favorite Easter thoughts:
"The Savior's atonement in the garden and on the cross is intimate as well as infinite. Infinite in that it spans the eternities. Intimate in that the Savior felt each person's pains, sufferings, and sicknesses. Consequently, he knows how to carry our sorrows and relieve our burdens that we might be healed from within, made whole persons, and receive everlasting joy in his kingdom. May our faith in the Father and the Son help each of us to become whole."
Merrill J. Bateman

"Though you may feel that no one can understand the depth of your despair, our Savior, Jesus Christ, understands. He suffered more than we can possibly imagine, and He did it for us; He did it for you. You are not alone."
Dieter F. Uchtdorf

"The more we know of Jesus, the more we will love Him. The more we know of Jesus, the more we will trust Him. the more we know of Jesus, the more we will want to be like Him and to be with Him by becoming the manner of men and women that He wishes us to be, while living now 'after the manner of happiness."
Neal A. Maxwell

"To all who may have doubts, I repeat the words given Thomas as he felt the wounded hands of the Lord: Be not faithless, but believing. Believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the greatest figure of time and eternity. Believe that his matchless life reached back before the world was formed. Believe that he was the Creator of the earth on which we live. Believe that he was Jehovah of the old Testament, that he was the Messiah of the New Testament, that he died and was resurrected, that he visited the western continents and taught the people here, that he ushered in the final gospel dispensation, and that he lives, the living son of the living God, our Savior and Redeemer."
Gordon B. Hinckley

"Love is what inspired our heavenly Father to create our spirits; it is what led our Savior to the Garden of Gethsemane to make Himself a ransom for our sins. Love is the grand motive of the plan of salvation; it is the source of happiness, the ever-renewing spring of healing, the precious fountain of hope. As we extend our hands and hearts toward others in Christlike love, something wonderful happens to us. Our own spirits become healed, more refined, and stronger. We become happier, more peaceful, and more receptive to the whisperings of the Holy Spirit."
Dieter F. Uchtdorf.
